Maybe you're wondering if we fell off a cliff, got swept away in a river, or became victim to some venomous woodland creature. Not to worry! We are here, we are okay, and we are ready to hit the trails again! Since my last post, OVER A YEAR AGO!, much has changed in our lives. We moved to a new home (and lived through the accompanying extensive renovation spear-headed by my talented husband), I took on a part-time job that I love, and the boys stopped napping regularly. In fact, my oldest just started Kindergarten last week! Needless to say, we've been busy! Our new home happens to overlook a shallow creek and is neighbor to preserved green space, so though we haven't been exploring many new trails, we've been immersed in nature in our own backyard.
Now that we are all settled into a new routine and my little trouble-maker is occupied by school (big sigh), I am ready to get serious about this blog again. Just as serious as mud on a face.

My plans are to continue with the basic format, but I may branch out a bit, adding backyard nature finds and other local nature related happenings. I may offer shorter, more frequent posts with inspirational photos or quotes. The blog will morph some along the way, but my intentions remain the same -
to provide information about area hiking trails and nature happenings, inspire you to explore the outdoors with your little ones, and have fun with my own two growing tykes.
